The problem

Meetings are booked in Outlook and Teams, but the customer, deal or employee record lives in Frappe. People copy links and notes across by hand, or the record never shows what was agreed.

What it does

  • Two-way sync between Frappe events and each user's Outlook calendar, including repeating events
  • Teams meetings created from an eventWith one tick, with the join link written back
  • Attendees and their repliesAccept, tentative, decline, shown on the event
  • Meeting transcripts attached to the event; recordings streamed on demand rather than stored
  • Sign in with MicrosoftEntra ID, and Outlook mail over OAuth, set up through Frappe's own login and connected-app settings
  • A set-up check that explains Microsoft sign-in and mail errors in plain language
  • Only the Microsoft permissions for the features you switch on are requested

What we built, and what is still open

  • Proven on a real Microsoft 365 tenantsign-in and pushing a Frappe event to Outlook
  • Built and tested against a simulated Microsoft Graphpulling calendar changes, Teams meetings, replies, transcripts and recordings; these are next to be proven on a live tenant
  • Not builtshared and room calendars, OneDrive and SharePoint files, and Teams channel messages
  • Calendar sync runs every 15 minutes, not instantly

Works with

  • Microsoft Entra ID (SSO)

FAQ

No. Frappe's email accounts do that. This app sets up the Microsoft OAuth connection they use and checks it when something fails.

Each user's default Outlook calendar. Shared, room and secondary calendars are not synced.

No. It needs only Frappe, so it works with Frappe CRM, Frappe HR or any Frappe app as well as ERPNext.
