Every recovered laptop graded, priced and traced, without a spreadsheet

Bizmap built the refurbishment engine for Sheeltron Digital Systems' CPCB-certified e-waste facility: procurement, inward, segregation, barcode and serial tracking, score-based QC grading from A to D, refurbishment with part compatibility checks, grade-based pricing and dispatch. Output went from 70–80 to 100–120+ laptops a day, with pricing accuracy of 95–98%.

Challenges in e-waste and it asset recovery

Every laptop is a manual decision.

An Item Wizard that standardises brands, configurations and component mapping, so every unit is an item, a BOM and a serial number.

We grade by eye and price by spreadsheet.

Parameter-based inspection with a score-based grade (A to D) and a pricing engine driven by configuration, upgrades and grade.

We cannot trace which part went into which unit.

Serial number, asset tag and barcode on every asset; part removal and replacement validated against stock and compatibility.

How the work runs

FAQ

Yes, with the right item design. An Item Wizard standardises brands, configurations and components, so each recovered unit becomes an item, a BOM and a serial number without duplicate items.

Technicians score each unit against inspection parameters; the score sets the grade from A to D, and the grade with the configuration sets the price. The same laptop can be priced very differently by grade, and the system shows why.

Yes. At Sheeltron the system synchronises with an external QC system automatically, so inspection results land on the serial number without re-entry.
