Business systems on ERPNext and Frappe, from first workshop to support

Bizmap implements ERPNext, the open-source ERP built on the Frappe framework, for companies that have outgrown Tally and spreadsheets or run an ERP that no longer fits. We map the process, write a requirements document per module, configure what is standard, build what is not as a separate app, migrate the data, train each role and support the system after go-live. We also upgrade older ERPNext sites and take over projects another partner started.

Problems we are usually called for

01Tally plus spreadsheets cannot show stock, margin or receivables per unit, per store or per building.
02Approvals happen on WhatsApp and nobody can find who approved what.
03A hundred outlets receive goods and pay suppliers, and the payout statement takes a team a week.
04A plant tracks rolls, batches and BOM variants on paper between production stages.
05Two or more companies need consolidated accounts and one GST-compliant invoicing flow.
06The company is on ERPNext v13, v14 or v15 and the upgrade keeps getting postponed.
07An ERPNext project stalled, or the partner left and nobody knows the custom code.

How an implementation runs

  1. Process mapping, two weeks

Workshops with each function head. Output: as-is and to-be process maps and the module list.

  2. BRD per module

Each requirement written as current process, expected process, how ERPNext handles it, and marked standard, configuration or custom. Functional heads review, the CXO approves, our implementation lead confirms. Bizmap is accountable for what is in the BRD and nothing that is not.

  3. Configure and build in two-week sprints

Standard settings first, then the custom app. A demo every two weeks on your data.

  4. Migrate and test

Masters and opening balances from Tally or the legacy system; two UAT cycles with your users on their own transactions.

  5. Train and go live

Role-based training, a user guide, a parallel run where the risk warrants it, then cutover on a date you choose.

  6. Hypercare, then support

Thirty days of daily check-ins, then support with agreed response times.

FAQ

Accounts, buying, selling, stock, manufacturing, quality, projects, HR and payroll, CRM and support, with Education and Healthcare where the business needs them. The pages below cover each part of the work in detail.

No. Most groups go live in phases: one company, site or module at a time. AdComp Systems' first city went live in about four months, and later cities reused the same platform with small changes.
